Clinton Public Safety yesterday served a resisting arrest charge on a man who was initially arrested on a Public Disorderly Conduct charge Tuesday afternoon.
21-year-old Keenan Alexander “Alex” Davis of 88 Palmetto Street, Clinton was ticketed on the Public Disorderly charge as of 12:19 Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Palmetto and Poplar Streets. A warrant served later also accuses him of Resisting Arrest. Davis is accused of knowingly and willfully resisting the lawful arrest from law enforcement officers by actively resisting in a physical manner after being told multiple times that he was under arrest during the incident at the intersection of Palmetto and Poplar Streets on July 30th.
Cash or Surety bonds on the charges were set at $470 and $262. Alex Davis was transferred to the Johnson Detention Center yesterday, where he remained earlier today.
