CDV of High & Aggravated Nature

 Clinton Public Safety yesterday charged a man with threatening the life of his wife with a knife at their Clinton home this spring. 45-year-old Israel Miller with a current address at 309 Crestview Road, Greenville was charged with Criminal Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature and with Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime. Sgt. Kathy Anderson states that on May 17th Israel Miller threatened to assault his wife with a knife and struck her with the butt of the knife in her right chest area. This allegedly happened in the residence they shared on West Bluford Street in Clinton. The Weapons charge notes he was in possession of a knife during the assault.

Israel Miller was also served with two Bench Warrants from Clinton Municipal Court noting an April 1st convictions for Driving Under the Influence with a sentence of $1,022 or 30 days and for Driving Under Suspension 2nd Offense with a sentence of 30 days or $652.50.  Bonds were set at $30,000 on the Domestic Assault charge and $15,000 on the Weapons charge. Israel Miller remained in the Johnson Detention Center.
