Waste from a Meth Lab was found in the trash bin of a Laurens business yesterday. Sheriff’s Sgt. John Carter was dispatched to a car wash in the 1200 block of North Harper at 9:17 yesterday morning and met with a man who indicated that someone is dumping their personal household trash in the container at the business. While going through the illegally dumped garbage bag looking for information to identify who put the trash there, the man noted a smell not consistent with household garbage and called the Sheriff’s Office. Lt. Shelton was brought in with special clothing to search further and found items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. Lt. Sharpton also arrived to assist and call in a clean-up crew. Photographic evidence of the meth-lab waste was taken by officers.
