Another man has been charged in connection with the theft of metals from a residence on Woodland Drive outside Clinton this summer. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Friday booked 31-year-old Scott Thomas Prather of 807 Ferguson Street, Clinton on charges of Grand Larceny and Theft of Metals. Sgt. Scott Franklin states that between July 19th and August 19th Scott Prather carried metals and copper wire from 47 Woodland Drive, Clinton and allowed others to do so as well. The Grand Larceny warrant notes value of the stolen metals exceeded $10,000. Scott Prather was released from the Johnson Detention Center Friday on personal recognizance bonds totalling $20,000 on the two charges.
