Laurens Police yesterday arrested 28-year-old Shelly Brooks Finley of 927 Church Street, Laurens on an ‘Attempt to Purchase Ephedrine’ charge from an alleged attempted purchase Monday. Detective Leann Riggott states that the defendant attempted or conspired to obtain a quantity of non-prescription Ephedrine products totaling more than 9 grams in a 30-day period. This allegedly occurred at Wal-Mart of Laurens on September 9th. Ms. Finley was being held for arraignment, and the jail docket also indicated a hold on her for Greenville and for State Pardon, Probation and Parole.
