Manufacturing Methamphetamine charges were served yesterday on a Laurens man arrested in the overnight from an alleged meth lab. The Sheriff’s office charged 23-year-old Robert Mackenzie Howell of 69 Sullivan Road, Laurens with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Illegal Disposal of Methamphetamine Waste and Simple Possession of Marijuana. Deputy Charles Nations states that on November 27th Robert Howell manufactured methamphetamine and did unlawfully dispose of methamphetamine waste without authority to do so. Nation states that on November 26th Howell was in possession of less than 28 grams of marijuana. Bonds were set totaling $20,620 on the three charges. Robert Mackenzie Howell remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
