Mom Joins Daughters with Charges

   First two sisters, now their Mom has been charged with trying to purchase an excessive amount of Ephedrine. At 38 minutes after midnight Saturday morning Clinton Public Safety arrested 44-year-old Barbara Sue McWatters of 405 Frances Street and charged her with Four Counts, Attempted Possession of a Controlled Substance. Lt. Casey Jones states that Ms. McWatters attempted to purchase 2.4 grams of Ephedrine-based product which would have exceeded the maximum purchase quantity of nine grams in a thirty-day period. This allegedly occurred at 194 Jacobs Highway. The attempts allegedly occurred on November 20^th, 24^th and 26^th and December 8^th. Ms. McWatters was released from City Jail later Saturday on Personal Recognizance bonds totaling $4,000.  Two daughters were arrested on similar charges a few days before.
