Clinton Public Safety responded to the Northwest side of town at 4:27 yesterday afternoon on a report that a woman had been caught by her husband in the home with her paramour, and that the male spouse had a gun pointed at his wife. Officer Doug Richardson arrived in two minutes and observed the husband sitting on the porch. He was searched and no weapon was found. He said his wife was refusing to let him in. Her male friend was inside sitting on the living room couch. He reportedly said he wasn’t going anywhere. The officer searched the home and did not locate any firearm. Each indicated they were staying and would be OK. The officer stayed close by after departing the house and all appeared to be calm.
