The Highway Patrol arrested a man on charges of being an Habitual Offender this weekend. That charge came in connection with a 4th offense of allegedly driving on a suspended driver’s license. 41-year-old Anthony Cleveland Brookie “Tony” of 20040 Highway 72 East, Clinton was arrested on charges of 4th Offense Driving under Suspension and Habitual Offender in tickets issued at 6:55 pm Saturday evening on Highway 56. Brookie was booked in the Johnson Detention Center Saturday night. He was released yesterday on posting surety bonds of $12,105.
