Laurens County Deputy David Craig was dispatched to the 4000 address range of South Harper Street Extension at 1:12 Saturday afternoon to investigate a Burglary. A man reported his father is in Florida until April and he as watching over his father’s residence next door to his. He said all was fine at Dad’s house when he checked the afternoon of January 26th but that when he checked early Saturday afternoon he found the back door standing open. He then called for law enforcement. Deputy Craig noted it appears someone threw two pieces of concrete through a rear kitchen window and entered through the window. They apparently ransacked inside the house and scraped the hardwood floor as they drug the washer and dryer across the floor from the garage area, while a flat-screen TV and other electronics were also missing, and tools were stolen from the garage. Total estimated value of the theft was set at $2,650.
