The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a location in the 14,000 address range of Highway 101 South of Gray Court at 10:31 last night after a man called 911 saying there was a fight going on and a female voice could be heard saying “no.” As Deputy Nations arrived he reportedly observed a young woman sitting on a chair on the porch and observed a man standing inside the house. She reportedly ran inside and began pushing and hitting the man, then returned to the porch. She allegedly said that no man was going to hit her first. The apparently intoxicated 26-year-old female was taken into custody and delivered on a charge of Simple Assault and Battery and for Breach of Peace for the alleged cursing.
