An arrest was made for an alleged theft from a power company facility in Upper Laurens County yesterday. The Sheriff’s Offfice booked 44-year-old Joseph Andrew Smith of 2098 Amberly Road, Elberton, Georgia on charges of Petit Larceny and Malicious Damage.
Lt. Bryant Cheek states that on March 9th Joseph A. Smith took away items belonging to New Horizon from 571 Andrews Road, Fountain Inn.
Lt. Bryant Cheek states that on March 9th in Laurens County one Joseph Andrew Smith did damage in the amount of $2,000 to the property of New Horizon by cutting a fence at 571 Andrews Road, Fountain Inn.
Joseph Smith was released from the Johnson Detention Center on personal recognizance bonds totaling $12,000.
