Clinton Public Safety was dispatched to Academy Street at 2:39 Sunday morning regarding an assault. A man was observed bleeding from his mouth. He said another man had come to his house and beat him up. He reportedly could not give an answer as to why he didn’t defend himself. He indicated he had been at a party drinking beer and that the other man accused him of touching his wife and beat him up for that. Two teeth had reportedly been knocked out during the fight. EMS was called and transported the man to the LCMH for treatment. Charges for the assault were pending.
