The Sheriff’s Office yesterday booked a man wanted by a State Drug Agent for an alleged illegal prescription pickup in Clinton about two years ago. 50-year-old Gregory David Megillian of 430 East Darby Road, Taylors was charged with a Drug Distribution Law Violation. State Agent Coy Tomlinson states that on May 19, 2012 in Laurens County one Gregory David Megillian did obtain a controlled substance by fraud, misrepresentation, forgery and/or subterfuge. The agent states that the subject obtained a quantity of oxycodone, schedule II controlled substance from CVS pharmacy on Jacobs Highway in Clinton by fraud. When the practitioner alleged to have written a prescription was asked if it was authorized by him, he said it was not. A $5,000 surety bond was set during arraignment. Gregory Megillian remained in the Laurens County Detention Center this morning.
