$75,000 Bond Set on 2nd Offense Drug Charge

    Clinton Public Safety has charged a local man with a 2^nd Offense Drug violation. Initially arrested Sunday, 31-year-old Foremango Oneal Cedric Korens of 618 Elizabeth Street, Clinton has been charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack, 2^nd Offense. Sgt. Shane Prather states that on Sunday, February 10^th the defendant did have in his possession with intent to distribute 1.73 grams of crack cocaine at a location on Springdale Drive in Clinton. Sgt. Prather states that the weight of the crack cocaine is prima facie evidence of the intent to distribute, and notes the defendant has a prior conviction of this same charge. Bond was set at $75,000. Mr. Korens was placed in the Johnson Detention Center, where he remained earlier today.
