While many Laurens County residents were awakening to enjoy cooler temperatures yesterday morning, the Sheriff’s Office was dispatched a side Street east of Gray court at 6:53 am and met a woman who claimed she was locked out of the house and she was trying to get inside because she was cold and had been outside all night long. Deputy Todd Alexander noted the woman appeared nervous. Lt. Robbie Haupfear started checking the woman and allegedly found some marijuana and pills on her. Deputy Alexander went inside and spoke with the woman who lived there and reported that the woman outside had come to the house around 2:00 am and they had to make her leave. She also added the woman didn’t live there. Officers noted determining the woman lived another address on the same street. She was issued a citation for Simple Possession of Marijuana and released, pending a court appearance.
