Conspiracy Alleged in Attempted Murder Sunday Morning

Clinton Public Safety made an arrest yesterday afternoon in connection with a shooting on Bond Street early last Sunday between 4:10 and 4:40 am. Officers had been dispatched to the Laurens County Memorial Hospital just before 5:00 Sunday morning, where a 24-year-old Clinton man was being treated. The victim was airlifted to Greenville for additional treatment.

Around 2:25 yesterday afternoon Clinton Public Safety booked 27-year-old Timothy Antwaun Walker of 438 Wynette Street, Laurens and charged him with Attempted Murder, Conspiracy to Attempt that Crime and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime. Detective Tyone Goggins states that on August 17th Timothy Antwaun Walker attempted murder by shooting another man with a handgun at a residence at 407 Bond Street. He is also accused of conspiring with two other men to commit the crime on Bond Street. Walker allegedly possessed a handgun during the incident at 407 Bond Street Sunday. Timothy Walker remained in Clinton City Jail overnight, pending a bond hearing this morning.
