It Start as Just a Trespass Case…

Laurens City Police yesterday served six charges on a Clinton man after initially investigating an alleged trespass case. 29-year-old Antonio Lee Hill “Guns” of 400 Jefferson Street, Clinton was charged with Trespassing, Flight upon Sight, Resisting Arrest, 2nd Offense Possession of Crack Cocaine and Simple Possession of Marijuana. Master Patrolman Patrick Craven was states Hill was trespassing at the Hilltop Apartment Complex at 800 Spring Street August 21st after being placed on trespass notice for the location, and that he did flee on foot from the police during their investigation of his trespass violation. Officer Craven further states that Antonio Lee Hill actively resisted arrest by refusing to remove his hand from his pocket when told he was under arrest for the Trespass and Flight upon Sight charges, and that he pulled away from officers attempting to handcuff him so that they had to deploy an electronic control device to finally get him under control during the arrest. Officer Craven further alleges that Hill had .02 gram of a substance tested to be crack cocaine and 10.5 grams of a green leafy substance determined to be marijuana in his possession yesterday at 800 Spring Street. Antonio Lee Hill was being held in the Johnson Detention Center overnight, pending arraignment on the six charges from Laurens Police yesterday. Meanwhile, the Sheriff’s Office served Hill with a Magistrate’s Court Bench warrant citing a December 9, 2013 conviction for Driving under Suspension with a sentence of 30 days or $361.56 and Clinton Public Safety has a detainer for Hill.
