Just before 6pm Thursday, Sgt Anderson of the Clinton Department of Public Safety responded to an East Ferguson St. Clinton residence in reference to a break in that had already occurred. The complainant said he had checked on his home at 7am and everything was fine but when he returned he saw that the back door glass had been broken and the dryer removed from the home. The officer located drag marks through the yard leading toward G street and scrape marks on the side of the road but nothing further. He also stated that a white microwave was taken. The officer entered the home and attempted to obtain fingerprints off of the washing machine that had been moved but nothing discernable was seen. The officer will check pawn shops and recycling centers.
