Men Charged with Pointing Pistols at Each Other

   Laurens County Deputy Sheriff Michael Polson was dispatched to Hidden Lakes Lane, Waterloo at 2:09 yesterday afternoon on a report of two men pointing firearms at each other. The deputy was told that a Hickory Tavern area resident had gone to theWaterlooman’s house to help his x-wife pack her things and leave her current husband. Their son was also reportedly present. Both men said the other was the first to produce a weapon on the other. The Waterloo man claimed his wife and her x-husband and son were loading things that belonged to him, as well as his wife, onto his trailer. The Hickory Tavern man reportedly stated he pulled his gun to come to the aid of his son, who was wrestling with his step-dad.

  Deputy Polson arrested both men on charges of Pointing and Presenting a Firearm. Warrants state that each had pointed and presented a firearm at the other during the incident yesterday at 275 Hidden Lakes Lane,Waterloo.

  Being held overnight in the Johnson Detention Center on the Pointing and Presenting charge were 47-year-old Arnold Nelson Hine of 275 Hidden Lakes Lane, Waterloo and 65-year-old Thomas Harry Yarmosh of 7681 Neely Ferry Road, Laurens, which is in the Hickory Tavern Community. They were being held for bond hearings today.

  Both men were reportedly pointing pistols at the other in the incident between 1:45 and 2:09 yesterday afternoon.
