The Sheriff’s Office was called to a home break-in in the 1700 address range of Riverfork Road, Waterloo at 10:35 yesterday morning. A Greenwood Real Estate agent talked with Deputy Paterson on behalf of the owner, who is now living in Florida. Deputy Paterson found pry marks on a double door that faces the lake but determined entry had not been made there. He then found a window broken on a basement door to gain entry. Inside the house he observed papers dumped into the floor and a medicine cabinet had been gone through with bottles left on the floor. He also found a toaster oven knocked over and a candle jar knocked onto the floor and broken. An initial check noted a TV and a vacuum missing from the residence. The break-in was referred to investigations.
