The Sheriff’s Office yesterday booked a Union man on charges that include the accusation that he sold a stolen utility trailer. 27-year-old Jeffrey Karl Holsten of 505 West South Street, Union was charged with Receiving Stolen Goods and Breach by Obtaining Money under False Pretense. Officer Martin states that on September 18, 2014 Jeffrey Karl Holsten received a utility trailer valued at $2,200, knowing at the time or having reason to know that the property was stolen. Officer Martin also alleges that on the same date Holsten received $1,500 from another man by selling him a trailer known to be stolen. Cash or surety bonds were set totaling $4,000 on the two charges. Jeffrey Karl Holsten remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
