Of the four people arrested early New Year’s morning at a night-club in Laurens, one is facing time for a previous offense. 22-year-old Asia Letedra Hunter of 14 Bub Avenue, Laurens was arrested by Officer Simmons yesterday, who issued a ticket charging her with Assault and Battery at 2:15 am. During her arraignment later yesterday, Asia Hunter was given a $470 personal recognizance bond on the Assault charge; but she remained in the county detention center today. She was also served with a Bench Warrant
from Laurens County Magistrate’s Court which states she was convicted of Assault and Battery 3rd Degree on September 24, 2012, with a sentence of a fine or 30 days in jail. So while she could be released pending trail on yesterday morning’s alleged assault, she must first deal the 30 days from the old assault charge.
