Deputy Devin Hodges was dispatched to a location in the 2,400 address range of Durbin Road at 12:18 Saturday morning on a report of malicious damage. A woman reported a Greenville man had come to her residence to see her granddaughter. She said that when the man saw her granddaughter with another male, he picked up a toy truck and broke out a window to her residence, causing his hand to bleed. He reportedly fled into the woods prior to the deputy’s arrival. As the deputy was clearing from the scene, he received a report of a man with a bloody hand lying on the roadway on Montague Road. He and Deputy Sweat went to that location. The subject was identified and EMS was called to treat his hand. Deputies reported also finding a small amount of marijuana in his pocket. After a visit to the ER at Laurens County Hospital, the man was taken to the Johnson Detention Center. 24-year-old Ethan Florez Martin, with addresses noted on Sherwood Lane, Greenville and North Kings Drive, Fountain Inn, was charged with Simple Possession of Marijuana and Malicious Damage to Property. He was released later Sunday on personal recognizance bonds of $1,092 and $620.
