A Laurens County Deputy Sheriff was summoned to visit with a Laurens area man who wanted some information put on the record. He indicated he was arrested in Greenwood a week before on a Domestic Violence charge for an alleged assault on a Greenwood woman. The man told Deputy Johnston that part of his release on bond was to have no contact with the woman, but that she had been calling him, wanting to come to his house near Laurens and get her personal belongings that were there. He said she came while he was still at home, and when he went to leave she kept grabbing him and trying to get him to stay inside. He said he went outside anyway, and that when she was leaving, she hit him with her car. The deputy did not observe any injuries, and the man said he didn’t want to prosecute for it, but just wanted it on the record.
