A Laurens County man is heading out of the county for an extended stay with the Department of Corrections, following sentences handed down yesterday in Laurens County General Sessions Criminal Court. 30-year-old Gene Adam Watson of 272 Patterson Plant Road, Enoree pled to multiple drug charges from an arrest in December of 2011, and is to be serving up to eight years, based on five concurrent sentences.
He got 8 years for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 5 year sentences were issued on two Unlawful Exposure of a Child to Drug charges and a Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime. He received two 3-year sentences for two Possession of Methamphetamine charges. In addition to these five consecutive sentences, Gene Adam Watson was sentenced to 30 days, time already served, on a Simple Possession of Marijuana charge.
