The LCSO placed a Fountain Inn woman in the Laurens County Detention Center early last evening following an apparent attempt to commit a breach of trust in a confidence game at a Gray Court area scrap metal yard. A Sheriff’s report indicates the 44-year-old woman was accompanied by an 18-year-old female and a 18 to 25-year-old male. They were allegedly concealing one person’s presence in a car when it was weighed with scrap metal inside in order to add some 118 pounds to the weigh-in, our about $15 in value. The scrap metal operated asked all to wait for police, but the two younger suspects left.
