Laurens City Police were dispatched to the Laurens County Hospital’s Emergency Department at 8:54 Saturday night, where a 19-year-old female was being treated for lacerations to her head. The woman indicated she and her boyfriend were at a location on Lee Street hanging out Saturday evening and that the man they were visiting got into a fight with another man whom they didn’t know. So she and her boyfriend left the house, but she returned to get her cell phone. Another woman reportedly confronted her. The woman allegedly grabbed the victim’s dress and pulled her inside, then began striking her in the head and face. She was able to break free and began to leave when the man they had been visiting allegedly struck her in the back of the head with a handgun. He reportedly chased her with the handgun as she fled back to her vehicle, where he also threatened her boyfriend. Laurens Police had charges pending from the incident.
