A Laurens man was released on $15,000 surety bond this weekend following his arrest last week in connection with an alleged undercover drug sale this past summer. The Sheriff’s Office arrested 61-year-old Charles William Kirby of 418 Hanks Road, Laurens on Thursday and charged him with Drug Distribution. Lt. Robert Wilkie states that on July 19th one Charles W. Kirby distributed a quantity of methamphetamine to a confidential informant working with the Sheriff’s Office in an undercover capacity. Charles W. Kirby was released Saturday on posting a $15,000 surety bond.
