Two men reportedly forced their way into a Laurens County home last night at gunpoint. Sheriff’s Deputy Charles Nations was dispatched to a Home Invasion in the Waterloo area at 9:46 pm.
A man indicated he heard a knock on the front door. A man appeared be holding a Pizza-Warming box. He asked who was there and a guy said he was delivering pizza. The resident reportedly opened the door to say they had the wrong house when another man pushed the door open and knocked him down. He indicated he observed a black handgun pointed at him as he fell to the floor. While one intruder held the man at gunpoint, the other entered a bedroom where the wife was asleep. She reportedly awoke to find a man over her. As she got up from the bed the man reportedly grabbed her behind the head and pushed her to the floor. The man reportedly threatened to kill her.
When the woman told the man they had neighbors nearby with guns, the two subjects reportedly left the house. They reportedly fired a gun in leaving.
Sheriff’s investigators called to the scene found a .38 caliber shell casing. Tire tracks from the suspect vehicle were observed at the scene.
Suspects were only described as black males wearing dark clothing.
