A Gray Court woman was arrested by the LCSO Friday in connection with an alleged New Year’s Eve assault on a man from her neighborhood. 38-year-old Christine Julia “Chrissy” Roach of 23 Hill Street, Gray Court was charged with Assault and Battery 3rd Degree. A warrant alleges she argued with a 64-year-old man from another address on Hill Street, pushed him and struck him on the head with a rock at the victim’s address., “Chrissy” Roach was released from the Johnson Detention Center Saturday on $650 PR bond.
The Sheriff’s Office Saturday arrested a young man on charges that he allegedly assaulted his mother by striking her about the body, knocking her to the floor and choking her. 20-year-old Zoltan Michael Szabo “Zoli” of 88 Alamo Trail, Laurens was charged with Assault and Battery 3rd Degree. He remained in the Johnson Detention Center earlier today with a bond set at $1,000.
Laurens City Police arrested a man following an alleged domestic assault on the woman he lives with at their home yesterday. 27-year-old Shain Grant of 57 Scott Street, Laurens was charged with Criminal Domestic Violence. Sgt. Shane Martin states that an investigation indicates Shain Grant assaulted the victim by pushing her against a door by her throat, causing her and her two children to fear for their safety. Shain Grant was being held overnight in the Johnson Detention Center pending arraignment.
