Laurens Police were dispatched to an apartment on East Main at 12:33 Friday afternoon on a disturbance call regarding an incident between a man and woman in their 40’s. The man claimed his girlfriend grabbed his glasses and now they were broken. When pressed for further details, the man said he was going to jail. He advised he had been drinking. Officers noted he had no visible injuries. The woman, meanwhile, was naked on the floor with only a blanket around her. She did not clothe herself after repeated requests for her to do so from an officer at the scene. She said she had been drinking and did not remember anything, other than slapping the bowl of chili into the floor. No charges were filed in the matter.
