A Ware Shoals man was arrested yesterday on charges of a Burglary and Safecracking incident in Western Laurens County last fall. 20-year-old Kevin Matthew Bowlin of Unit A-2 at 2 Hollway Drive, Ware Shoals was charged with Burglary/Safecracking and with Grand Larceny. Lt. Bryant Cheek states that on or about November 10th one Kevin Matthew Bowlin did break open the safe of a victim from Elledge Road, Ware Shoals which was used for keeping valuables, with the intent to commit a theft of such property. Lt. Cheek states that on November 10th Bowlin took away items which were valued at $2,000 from another man at that same location on Elledge Road. Surety bonds were set at $10,000 on each charge. Kevin Matthew Bowlin remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with total bond set at $20,000.
