Early in last night’s Clinton City Council meeting a resident spoke to Council during the Public Comment period. Ms. Miriam Jackson told Council about her road. She said she came to talk about the condition of her road, Dillon Drive, which she said is “raggedy” and needs fixing. Ms. Jackson said she had purchased the property and has been paying on it for more than 10 years but the road is not usable by anyone.
“Won’t no ambulance, no postal, no trash truck or nothing come down through there.”
In response to questions from council City Manager Frank Stovall explained that Dillon Drive was not a part of the city, county or state road system. It is a private drive with the developer of the property being responsible for maintenance. Mr. Stovall said he would contact the developer who now manages the property about the condition of the road.
