AgSouth announced yesterday that it is consolidating its Greenwood and Laurens offices, moving the Greenwood staff to the Laurens location on Hillcrest Drive.
The Laurens office of AgSouth’s predecessor in Agricultural Lending was once closed and moved to Greenwood, many years ago. John Livingston, of Cross Hill, now Regional Vice President, reopened the office that has grown to the current facility on Hillcrest Drive. We asked for his thoughts on the growth of the office he leads:
“It’s all about the customers, the people we deal with. We owe it all to them.”
We asked who the customers of the Laurens AgSouth office are. “Farmers, rural property owners and homeowners are the majority of our customers and they are scattered from Greenville County to the outskirts of Columbia, and now into Greenwood and Abbeville and McCormick Counties.”
John Livingston said that with the consolidation, the Laurens office now has eleven employees.
