Sheriff’s Deputy Jeremy McMahan and Lt. Robbie Haupfear were dispatched to a residence on Setlzer Road at 4:45 Sunday afternoon on a report of theft from a motor vehicle. Resident’s reported that a man and woman had entered a vehicle at that location. When officers’ searched a truck at the two subject’s residence in Clinton, they reportedly did not locate a missing change purse, but the two suspects were arrested for the alleged auto break-in. 43-year-old David Timothy Ball and 38-year-old Tracy Marie Owings, both of 185 Cypress Street, Clinton were held overnight for warrants, obtained yesterday by Lt. Robbie Haupfear. In the warrant accusing them of Breaking into a Motor Vehicle he states that an investigation by Deputy McMahan indicates that on March 30th Timothy Ball and Tracy Owings broke into a vehicle with intent to steal on March 30th. $5,000 surety bonds were set for each suspect. David Timothy Ball and Tracy Marie Owings remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
