Laurens County Council discussed a formal agreement with private ambulance services at this Tuesday evening’s meeting. Council Member Diane Anderson, Chair of Council’s Committee on Health, Welfare and Emergency Services, recommended council approve a Provider Network Agreement between the County EMS and other ambulance services. EMS Director Chad Burrell told Council there has already been an informal understanding and this makes what we already have official. The owner of a local provider that has been used in an informal relationship, Hayse Ambulance of Clinton, indicated he was not pleased with the terms of the new agreement.
