Fountain Inn Police yesterday charged a second suspect in connection with an Armed Robbery in town back in May. 25-year-old Rodney Napoleon Dennis of 104 Gary Avenue, Simpsonville was charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon in Commission of a Violent Crime and Simple Larceny. Officer Scott Hawkins states that on May 22nd Rodney Dennis, along with a codefendant, allegedly robbed the victim while armed with a handgun and took away personal items belonging to the victim in the Laurens County portion of Fountain Inn. The stolen items were reportedly valued at less than $2,000. Rodney Dennis was released from the Laurens County Detention Center yesterday with Surety Bonds totaling $35,000 on the Armed Robbery and Weapons charges and a Personal Recognizance bond of $2,500 on the Petit Larceny charge.
A Gray Court man was served with the same charges for this case this past weekend.
