Laurens Police were called to investigate three vehicle vandalism cases involving tire damage yesterday in the vicinity of West Main and Williams Street. The first call at 8:41 was to the 800 block of West Main, where a woman said her husband told her at 2:00 am that a tire was flat on her vehicle. When she looked at the tire later in the morning she discovered it appears someone cut the tire. Officer James Nolen was then dispatched to the 100 block of Williams Street at 10:00 yesterday morning where a woman discovered someone had cut her tire through the sidewall during the night. Another call to the 100 block of Williams Street at 1:30 yesterday afternoon reported a vehicle parked at that location had a tire flattened since the day before by a sharp object piercing through the sidewalk.
