A Deputy was advised of threats between two Laurens High students yesterday morning. The officer was given a print-out of statements made on Facebook. One of the subjects reportedly told Lt. Young that while he participated in the exchanges, someone from Saudia Arabia had hacked him and sent the message of threatening to shoot the other guy. In taking again with the subject he reportedly blamed the ‘auto correct’ on the electronic device with changing his statement that he would “gooch” the other guy to “Shoot.” A 16-year-old male juvenile was charged with Unlawful Use of Communication in a case through the Department of Juvenile Justice.
