Clinton Public Safety has charged two men with possessing multiple controlled substances with intent to distribute them. Arrested Tuesday were 33-year-old Jonathan Scott Epting of 115 East Patton Road, Laurens and 43-year-old William Robert Richardson of 164 Cypress Street, Clinton. Both are charged with six counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute. Warrants on Epting allege that on September 2nd he was in possession of Diazepam, Clonazepam, Xanax, Morphine, Ritalin and Oxycodone with intent to distribute, and that he also had various papers and legers that showed he was distributing the controlled substances.
William Robert Richardson of Cypress Street was transferred to the Johnson Detention Center yesterday with cash or surety bonds totaling $45,000 on his six charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute.
A 7th warrant was served on Jonathan Scott Epting, charging him with being in possession of a firearm, and not being allowed to have a firearm due to having been convicted of a violent crime. The 33-year-old Jonathan Epting was transferred to the Johnson Detention Center yesterday with bonds totaling $50,000.
