Laurens Police Officer Polson responded to Belks at 911 East Main at 12:23 Saturday afternoon on a suspicious vehicle report. A store loss prevention officer noted the 2005 Chevrolet Impala had been parked near the store since Tuesday, September 2nd. A check indicated the car had been stolen from inside the city of Greenwood. Officer Polson observed a large number of items inside the car. The owner indicated these items were not hers. In addition to recovering the car, officers also listed several stolen items recovered from inside the car. They included various DVDs, men’s shirts, boxers and socks along with sunglasses, air freshener and tire cleaner. A can of beer and other items perhaps used for drug consumption were also recovered from the stolen car.
