Laurens City Police were dispatched to investigate eight automobile break-ins in one neighborhood yesterday. An i-pad was stolen from one of the vehicles. Three of the vehicle break-ins were on Wedgewood Drive, two were on Barksdale Circle, two more on Brookwood Drive and one was on Harts Court. A Brookwood Drive resident flagged down a police car in the neighborhood Sunday to report that while checking on his vehicles that had been broken into during the previous night he discovered his golf cart missing. Officer Kanipe reported that the golf cart had been taken into evidence earlier Sunday from another area home where vehicles had been broken into. Damage was noted to the side of the golf cart that had occurred while it was in possession of the thief.
