Laurens County Deputies responded to Pleasant View Drive, Gray Court at 5:17 yesterday afternoon where a man was observed walking down the street with a cut to his arm that was bleeding. He reportedly told Deputy Shepard that he had gone to check on his girlfriend’s sister who was out of gas. He said he didn’t find anyone, then received a call from his girlfriend that he’d better be ready to fight when he gets home. He said she came out of the house and took a swing at him so he pushed her into a bush, but said he then received a cut to his arm from a box cutter. He said as he walked off she said to the kids “watch daddy go to jail.” Other deputies located the box cutter. Meanwhile they also located the girlfriend to hear her version of events. She indicated that her sister had texted her that her boyfriend had not been there to check on her. She reportedly said that when he came home she asked why he hadn’t checked and he said he had. She reportedly told him she had a text to prove he was wrong saying that. She reportedly told Deputy Shepard that she had the box cutter because she wasn’t a good fighter, but that she didn’t cut her boyfriend. Deputy Shepard was going to present the matter to a magistrate today to determine what charges, if any, need to be served in this case.
