The Christmas Holiday Season is approaching….and it brings hope and joy to many; but it also brings lots of trash. At Tuesday night’s Laurens City Council meeting, Mayor Sharon Brownlee noted the upcoming season and urged city residents to recycle things like cardboard and wrappings during the upcoming Christmas Season. The City operates a recycling center at the corner of Caroline and East Washington Streets that receives paper, cardboard, aluminum and plastic products for recycling.
Also during her report on the upcoming holidays Mayor Brownlee note the Laurens Christmas Parade will begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 6th.
