Clinton Public Safety located waste from a methamphetamine manufacturing operation around 2:00 yesterday afternoon and called in SLED to process the dangerous debris. Public Safety Officer Daniel Duckett was on routine patrol when he received information Sgt. Anderson had received about possible meth activity with suspects discarding waste from the manufacture in the woods. He reported finding a black plastic bag in the woods near Brandi Lane and the contents had been discarded into the wood line. He noted two plastic bottles in the bag and a red plastic bottle cap with rubber hose tapped into it. One bottle was producing white fumes so he relocated up wind and notified Lt. Chris Moore. Sgt. Detective Shane Prather arrived shortly thereafter and notified SLED to have a team arrive and process the meth waste.
