A 13-year-old Laurens Middle School student was arrested under juvenile statues yesterday following an alleged incident in a classroom. The male juvenile had allegedly struck a female student on her breasts and back. Student Resource Officer Bailes was called to the Principal’s office to view classroom video which reportedly showed the male juvenile intentionally touching and grabbing the 13-year-old female, with her attempting to defend herself. As she fled he reportedly followed her. She was reportedly not injured during the event. The father of the girl was notified of the incident. Officers took the 13-year-old male custody at the school and charged him with Disturbing School and with Assault and Battery 2nd Degree.
