Deputy Brad Shepard was dispatched to 491 Chapman Drive, Fountain Inn at 9:39 yesterday morning on a stolen vehicle report. He arrived on scene and spoke with a woman who said she leaves her front door open at night so her son can come in while she’s asleep. She said when she walked outside yesterday morning she noticed her vehicle was gone, and her son, so she came back inside to look for her keys and discovered that not only the keys but some money, her EBT card and bank cards were missing. The officer was able to locate the son with a friend and they said they had no idea where the vehicle was. The vehicle was to be entered into the NCIC. It was valued at $2,000. $80 cash was noted as taken from the apparent illegal entry into the mobile home.
