A Laurens man has been charged with the sale of four illegal drugs to undercover operatives of Laurens Police earlier this year. Laurens City Police Friday arrested 35-year-old Kareem Dyshun Jackson, also known as “D,” of 102 Holland Hill, Laurens and charged him with 3rd or Subsequent offenses of Distribution of Marijuana, Cocaine, Crack Cocaine and Methamphetamine from an apartment at 218 Spring Street in Laurens. He was also charged with the sale of each substance within proximity of Spring Street Park.
Detective Leann Riggott alleges that Kareem Jackson sold powder cocaine on July 9th, crack cocaine on July 16th, marijuana on July 18th and methamphetamine on July 18th. Warrants allege that each of the four undercover drug sales were 3rd or subsequent offense, and that each occurred at the Spring Street apartment which was within a half mile of Spring Street Playground. Bonds on the Distribute 3rd Offense charges were each set at $75,000, while $25,000 bonds were set on the Proximity charges. Kareem Jackson remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with total bonds of $400,000 on the drug charges.
A $650 bond was set on a Shoplifting warrant citing theft of merchandise on Hillcrest Drive January 27th, 2013.
