- Girls: Pendleton 57 – CHS 22: In the first game of the season the Lady Red Devils fell to the Lady Bulldogs of Pendleton by a score of 57-22 at the BHP preseason tournament last night….Clinton fell behind 21-2 at the end of the first quarter and could just never recover… Turnovers plagued the Lady Devils throughout the game as Pendleton took a 37-9 lead into halftime… Clinton did play better in the second half but Pendleton continued to get second and third shots and denied Clinton many rebounds… Maleaka Neil was high score for the Lady Red Devils with 8 points… For mores statistics on the game click on the following link: 11_25_13_CHSvsPendleton

- Girls: BHP 67 – LDHS 36: The BHP Bears spoiled the coaching debut of Yoneko Washington at LDHS by taking a 67 – 36 victory over the Raiders last night at BHP… Lawrence fell behind early mainly due to 19 turnovers in the first half and just about complete control of the boards by BHP… Laurens trailed 41-20 at the half but settled down and played better ball in the second half… The Raiders never quit trying as they continued the hustle all night long and tried to pressure the Bears into mistakes… Kela Daniels led the Raiders with 14 points 12 of which came in the first half… Jadasia Bennett contributed 9 points the Raiders…Jessica Johnson, Alexis Moses and Nasia Owens each had 3 points while Bre Nance and Kalah Gary each had 2…. Clinton and Laurens will now face each other at 6 PM tonight at BHP…
- Boys: LDHS 65 – Spartanburg Christian Academy 45: Better news for coach Ben Sinclair in his coaching debut at Laurens as the Raiders took a 65-45 win over Spartanburg Christian last night and Spartanburg… The Raiders jumped out to a 16-1 lead and never looked back as they use a strong man-to-man defense and scoring in transition to take a 40-19 lead at the half…… Davon Boyce (21) , Ladarius Williams (10) and Kezario Whitmore (11) were all in double digit scoring for the Raiders… Toby Jackson had 7 while LaJune Jones & Jordan Sargent had 6… Allen Johnson also had 4 points…. The Raiders will play the Dorman Cavaliers at 8:30 PM tonight at Spartanburg Christian Academy.

Sad Note to Pass Along
- Lou Brissie Dies: You may remember that on November 12th I told you about the Ware Shoals school district naming the high school baseball field and on a of Mr. Lou Brissie a Ware Shoals native, World War II veteran and former major league pitcher… Well there is some sad news out of North Augusta where Mr. Brissie lives….He passed away at the age of 89 yesterday and the Veterans Hospital in Augusta, Georgia… Mr. Brissie had been hospitalized with heart problems and while not confirmed that may be what he died from….If you would like to know more about Mr. Brissie and the recent honor bestowed upon him the following two links: Sports Report for 11-12-13 and Lou Brissie Field Dedication
